A new film “The Murdoch Flyer”
is now available on DVD

This new film shows the Murdoch Flyer as you have never seen it before. The film is approximately 40 minutes long and shows views of the historic and modern town of Redruth, the home of the Flyer. Some of our project members who were involved in the construction of the replica locomotive recount their experiences and the film shows how the steam carriage is constructed and how it works.  The sound track features original music specially written for the film and this is also available on a separate music CD.
For more information and how to order the DVD and CD, see our Newsletter page.

New display for the Flyer
in Redruth Market

We have recently been offered a new display location in Redruth Market and the replica steam carriage and wagon have already been moved into position.  This new location will enable us to create a much improved display. A big advantage will be that we can display the locomotive operating under steam in the open courtyard of the market and we will be able to steam the carriage much more frequently.

The photograph above shows a recent steaming of the locomotive in the market courtyard.
